New and Improved Triple Butter
By far, the Triple Butter has been my most popular soap. I knew it would be a hit when my sister, who had severe eczema, and very sensitive skin told me that this was the first soap that didn’t make her skin turn red. As I started trying it on my children with their eczema, and I saw the positive results, I knew my customers would love it. Now that I have been in business for over a year, I decided it was time to try to make this soap BETTER. The oils I used were on point, I didn’t want to change that. I knew that the essential oils that smelled “woodsy” were maybe not for everyone. I decided to come up with the best essential oil combination that not only smelled amazing, but also added another layer healing to my customers. I already had some ideas floating in my mind about certain essential oils that I knew would work.
My first one was lavender, it not only works amazing, but people always ask me about lavender soaps, I knew that would be perfect. Lavender has always been known for its positive effects to treat anxiety, which is why it’s in so many bath products, it puts you in a calm mood, it’s especially great for helping you sleep. But lavender is also great for its antibacterial properties, for reducing inflammation of the skin, it also does not clog pores. Studies have shown that lavender oil can kill Staphyloccus aureus, which is the type of bacteria that may cause eczema. Lavender also may help reduce scarring by promoting tissue growth.
My next essential oil was Tea Tree Oil, that one has been a favorite one of mine for over a decade, did you know that its naturally antibacterial and has anti-inflammatory properties? It helps with skin itching and helps with skin inflammation. Tea Tree oil also reduces dryness of the skin and reduces the flakiness of skin. It has also been used to control dandruff as well. Tea Tree oil is also known to help people with psoriasis, as well as eczema or any skin allergens. It is also antifungal, so it helps get rid of ringworm!
The third one, I decided on peppermint, it’s so cooling and helps soothe inflammation and itchiness of the skin and scalp. Peppermint oil also reduces acne by detoxifying the skin and helps it become free of bacteria. Peppermint is used in many body and beauty products for its cooling and gentle properties. The menthol in peppermint, when applied topically also helps increase blood flow to the skin and thus heal skin quicker.
And finally, this one I’m embarrassed to admit I only discovered recently how important it is, but Rosemary Essential Oil, it’s that one helps relieve pain! Rosemary also helps unclog blocked pores and minimizes large pores (part of the reason why I use this soap to wash my face), it’s naturally anti-inflammatory and along with it’s antibacterial properties, it helps keep germs off your body, which helps in reducing any eczema flare ups. Rosemary oil is also a natural deodorizer, body odor is caused by bacteria living on your skin, and rosemary oil prevents the bacteria from thriving.
I am loving this soap, and I hope you do as well. I recently started using it as my face wash and replaced my shave gel with the Triple Butter. If you haven’t tried it yet, what are you waiting for? Know someone with skin issues? Get this for them, they will thank you later.
